Most staff are part-time crew members who support us during public sessions and large events. The fulltime crew all have a long and loyal history with Alpine Ice. So meet some of the team! Gerry is the managing director of Alpine Ice and has seen this great venue through many fantastic times and incarnations since 1985. If I could be on one reality TV show it would be...Survivor. It seems like a challenge
If I could wipe one band of the face of the earth it would be...again too many to chose from. Probably Boyzone. They did nothing for music, and nobody really liked them anyway.

Best job ever? - My current job! I work with awesome people, and get paid for skating and playing music - pretty sweet to me!
Worst job ever? - Sorting out recycling bins into paper, plastics, glass and non-recyclables and not getting paid for it..

Daphne has been with Alpine Ice since time began, she handles the Café and the Office with a breeze and keeps everything running smoothly. Daphne is the proud mum of two and the proud grandmum of 4! 
In-house Coach, Skate Hire Manager and Session Supervisor - ChrisChris, who was once a top men's figure skater and ice dancer is responsible for overseeing the Skate Hire, grooming the ice, rink maintenance and is a session supervisor. Chris is also one of our in-house coaches. Chris lives with his partner Kendra, also a skater, and he loves to jetski!  Leading Hand - Lydia
Known around the office as ‘Lydia Sparkle' Lydia has been busy skating and working at Alpine Ice for over 13 years. Amongst being a professional candy floss maker and amateur barista, Lydia keeps occupied by entertaining the staff with witty quotes and brain teasers on the weekly whiteboard. Outside of Alpine Ice she enjoys listening to music and watching Metalocalypse. 
Skate School DIrector - Kim LewisKim takes care of all our operations regarding the Skate School and is also one of our in-house and private coaches. She co-ordinates Skate Shop sales for figure skates. Kim has two lovely daughters one of whom is a promising up-and-coming figure skater and her husband is an ex-champ ice hockey player. The family all enjoy skating! Office & Skate School Administrator & zamboni driver extraordinaire- AngeliqueAngelique has been with Alpine Ice since 2003, with a few overseas adventures in between times. An enthusiastic ice hockey player who has represented New Zealand in the National team from 1999-2009 and competed at three World Championships, Angelique handles the Alpine Ice office and Skate School administration, supervises public sessions, grooms the ice and also whips up a mean coffee in the cafe! At Alpine Ice it's a family affair - experience the connection!
