WHERE TO AFTER LEARN TO SKATE? If you have finished the Learn to Skate Program and want to continue to enjoy skating then one of the following is definitely for you!Intro to Dance Are you into Ballroom dancing? Love to do the tango or an elegant waltz. Do you love music? This class is for you. Intro to dance provides you the opprtunity to learn set dance patterns, solo or partnered dancing. Intro to Figure SkatingWhether you are an adult, teenager or talented tiny, the Intro to Figure group classes offer the opportunity to take the next step beyond Learn to Skate and towards entry into the exciting world of artistry and athleticism which is figure skating. You will be introduced to jumps, spins, turns, steps and field moves to provide you with the basics to be able to then link them all togther and put to a peice of music and have your own routine. Skaters are encouraged to participate in annual competitions and ice shows and may prepare for the first NZ Ice Skating Association (NZISA) tests. Click here for times, prices or click here to enrol.
Alpine Ice "Go Figure"Alpine Ice’s Go Figure program is aimed at competitive and advanced recreational skaters. It operates year round with training during the school term, holiday training and annual competitions. For more information about programs, times, prices contact the Skate School Director.
